Don Gaspar bed and breakfast is a delightful stay in many ways. My husband, 4 year old daughter, and myself stayed there for 2 nights in July. The summer is such a wonderful time there because the flowers are in bloom and they're everywhere. The B&B has an enchanting secret garden likeness that is fun and beautiful for all ages. Upon arriving we learned that the large room (the territorial) was not available to us, as we had thought upon booking, because someone else had booked it hours before we did. As a result we ended up in the Kachina suite which was smaller but cozy and pretty. I've stayed in a handful of B&Bs over the years and this room was big by comparison. Big bathroom, big bed, table with three chairs, couch and coffee table, armoire with fridge and tv, and a table with coffee beans, grinder, pot, and microwave. What more could you want? The bed was insanely soft and comfortable. From the minute you slip between the sheets it's hard to will yourself to get out. So scrumptiously comfortable. However, the brightness (or lack of total darkness at night) might keep you awake a bit. There is a shade on the door that helps darken it (you can go lighter or darker) but light still creeps in. I'm used to a pitch dark room for proper sleep. Time for a sleep mask. The bathroom was beautiful with stone tile, jacuzzi tub, and plush towels. Plenty of closet space, too, along with a small safe. The service is extremely pleasant. The breakfast each day was pretty good. There was bread for toast, butter and jams, granolas, juices, coffee, tea, water, fruit, yogurt, and a hot dish for the day. I'm not sure if the hot dishes were homemade and I'm going to go out on a limb and say they weren't. They were tasty nonetheless. If I could wave my magic wand, there would've been more hot options, perhaps a person making some things by request. I know, a lot to ask, but not unheard of with B&Bs in Santa Fe it seems. Wifi was adequate but that might depend on the room you're using. The adobe thick walls were great for keeping things quiet but our room was not on the street so I can't speak to that. Don Gaspar B&B is a place I would visit again and I'm eager to check out their other property in Durango, CO.

Absolutely loved this place! Patrick and Anna provided outstanding hospitality (and excellent breakfasts!!). We have stayed at the Turquoise Bear for years and decided to try something new (as the TB changed owners). We were very pleasantly surprised and pleased with the Don Gaspar Inn. Room (we stayed in the Courtyard Casita) was excellent with a small kitchen and refrigerator - beds outstanding, bathroom spotless, daily service excellent, great parking. Overall this was a great experience and we will absolutely return (soon!!).

Fantastic inn. The garden in the back was a phenomenal surprise and the innkeepers were very friendly. The perfect amount of friendliness, too. Not so talkative that you felt stuck in conversation and not so stand off-ish that you felt like a stranger. All separate entrances to the rooms which feel more like houses than a typical room. And the food in the morning was exactly what I needed. I plan on staying here many more times.

We enjoyed our stay here. The Colorado Room totally met our expectations. The fireplace heater made room cozy in the morning! The staff was extremely nice and helpful especially with suggestions on what to see and do in Santa Fe. The B and B was walking distance from old town so we never used our car to visit those sites!

Stayed here in Spring of 2011. The room was nice, the jacuzzi tub was large. Small distance to the center of town but worth it. Playground across the way

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at The Don Gaspar Inn & would highly recommend it to anyone interested in visiting Santa Fe. The Inn has great Sant Fe style rooms that are charming, comfortable with a quaint peaceful courtyard. Decor is Santa Fe done well, not gimmicky or over the top. We enjoyed walking into town (only a few blocks it was even manageable for our 6 & 9 year olds.) Ana & Patrick made us feel very welcome at the Inn & offered great hospitality! The breakfasts were delicious!! Other nice details that we appreciated... The pull out sofa for our children was open & made upon our later check in, robes & slippers, coffee, tea & popcorn in the room, water bottles & small snacks at the office. They really had a nice way of respecting your time and schedules while being warm & hospitable and making you feel like you were an old friend. We hope to stay at Don Gaspar Inn again the next time we are vacationing in Santa Fe. It was perfect!

We spent spring break in the main house. The Inn was convenient for all the activities we had planned around town. We have small children & it worked very well. No shared walls. Breakfast was very nice. Staff were friendly & helpful. We were hesitant about a B&B with our busy 4 & 6 y.o, but everything was great, especially the playground next door (Bonus)!!

On a recent trip to Santa Fe, I was able to stay at this great place for a few day. If you are looking for a place a couple of blocks from the plaza and not in the standard hotel room, look into Don Gaspar. The place is a collection of Adobe homes that have been reconfigured so that each house is split into apartments. We stayed in a great room, with a fire, large comfortable bed and heated floor bathroom. The huge Jacuzzi tub was a plus... For the price of a regular hotel, you get so much more room and comfort, and a very quiet space to enjoy your stay. The morning breakfast was great as well and it was fun talking to the other guests. The staff is great, so helpful and ready to suggest places to visit or how to get there. The plaza is a short walk or you can drive the three blocks and try to find parking, but just leave your car and walk. I usually don't stay at B&B's but this was a wonderful experience.

There were 3 different concierge - innkeepers that I met during my stay there and they were all so nice and helpful they could have been mistaken for the owner. When checking in one of them mistook me and my employer as a gay couple so I can say from her approach they are definitely queer friendly.

Loved this place! Stayed in the Territorial Suite and was absolutely thrilled with the accomodations as well as the entire property and staff. It's about 3 blocks fron the downtown area--a 5-7 min. walk--which is perfect because I didn't want to be too close to the frequent ringing church bells. Breakfast was fantastic all 3 mornings of my stay, and everything was super clean and well maintained. You cannot be disappointed at the Don Gaspar Inn.
